本片通过记录了一座已经使用了56年的纯手工油坊的榨油的过程，对比了当今机械化生产和传统榨油的区别，反应了达拉特旗人们对于所生活的土地的热爱。向人们展示了西北地区农民几百年间经历走西口来到内蒙古鄂尔多斯并逐渐在这里开垦种植、繁衍生息的经历。
This film records the entire process of oil extraction from a hand-operated oil mill that has been used for 56 years in Bainijing Town, Dalat Banner, Inner Mongolia.The raw materials used in the oil mill are the local flax seeds.Every day, the four workers in the oil mill started work at 4:30 in the morning, and completed a set of flax oil presses in seven steps: frying, simmering, blending, steaming, wrapping, pressing and loading. The whole process took 12 hours.The film records the simple happiness of the daily life of local farmers and oil mill workers. It shows to people the experience of farmers in the northwestern region who have settled in Inner Mongolia through “journey to west” for hundreds of years.

My experience in china has been great.People here are very warm.I feel as a Chinese myself，very welcomed and accepted in the community and that I feel very touched，people have gone out of their way just to help a stranger like me to succeed at filming my project.So I think that it has been very great so far.

看中国是一项很有意义的活动，不仅让外国导演能了解中国，也能让我们自己更深入了解周围的事物，我们一起挖掘我们的主题，制作、拍摄、计划很有意义。通过和外国导演的交流让我也能够了解到不同的文化，让我们和世界联系的更紧密。

看中国项目让这些外国青年导演更加了解了中国的传统文化，很多我们看起来稀松平常的事情可以引起他们很大的兴趣，而且我从外国导演身上看到很多不同的想法，学习到了很多和传统媒体不一样的拍摄手法。拍摄中，我们见到了最原始和最现代的榨油方法，通过最简单的方法就能压榨出最纯净的油，中国传统手工艺人一辈辈传承下来的智慧让我们叹服。
